Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System

FURUNO’s Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System, meets IMO resolution MSC.128(75) for “Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System (BNWAS)”
Monitors the watch officer’s presence for maritime casualty avoidance
Collectively manages and presents the alarm information on the display unit(BR-1000)
Transmits alarm to the backup officer in accommodation, if watch officer fails to respond to the active alarm or emergency call.

We are pleased to announce that FURUNO’s bridge navigational watch alarm system (BNWAS) BR-500 has now successfully completed the EC type examination at DNV (Det Norske Veritas) of Norway, which is one of the notified bodies of MED (Marine Equipment Directive) regulated by the EC commission. Since October 2012, BNWAS has been listed in the MED A1 list, and now, the BR-500 is wheelmarked holding the MED Module B certificate.
